Applies to: Anyone with Adobe Reader XI (11.x) or below
We often talk about End Of Life for products like Windows XPWindows Vista, Windows 7 and even pound coins where we say “don’t use it anymore because it doesn’t have security updates” or in the case of Pound Coins “Don’t use them anymore because they are not valid”.
Sometimes other bits of software reach the end of the road too…
In this case, it’s Adobe Reader XI (or Adobe Reader 11.x).

What you need to know:

  • If you’re still using Adobe Reader XI or an earlier version, then you need to install the new version.
  • To check what version of Adobe Reader you have, open Adobe Reader (find it in your start menu) and click on “Help > About”.
  • If you have the XI version or below, close Adobe Reader and get the latest version (Adobe Reader DC) from here https://get.adobe.com/reader/.
  • There are some offers you can tick if you like, but you don’t have to.
  • If you have an old version installed then it will just update it so no need to uninstall the old one first.

Let me know if you need any help with this or any other updates.
